Transmission park lock assemblies provide a positive lock of the vehicle when the automatic transmission is placed in the park position. Air conditioning compressor connecting rods for variable-displacement pumps consist of two precision balls welded with exacting accuracy to a central shaft. The lower ball rides in an aluminum swash plate that drives the upper ball located in the piston to provide refrigerant pumping action.
