Gimbal
Assemblies
In the past forty years, Timken Super Precision has participated in the design and / or production of
many spin gimbal systems, beginning with the Redeye and
Sidewinder AIM-9C (a radar version) seekers and
continuing through, the many versions of Sidewinder
(AIM-9E-G-H-J-L-M-P-S), as well as Chaparral (MIM-72),
Laser Maverick (AGM-65), Stinger (FIM-92), and now BAT.
With
over one-half million man-hours experience, the Timken
Super Precision Gimbal Systems Group is a
production-oriented team established to manufacture
electro/optical mechanical assemblies. It can produce to
customer specifications or provide engineering
services as required. These capabilities extend to
virtually any type of mechanical motion assembly or
sub-assembly where weight and space economics, plus high
precision, are key elements. By virtue of its
organization, technical skills, facilities, and
extensive experience, the Gimbal Systems Group is
equipped to engineer and produce precision devices to
military quality standards and performance levels.
We also offer repair/rework facilities to the O.E.M. as
well as the Defense Department Depots.
