The Timken Distributor Council Meeting in Dubai welcomed a selection of “preferred” Timken and Torrington Authorized Distributors from Western Europe, Turkey and the Middle East. “Preferred” Authorized Distributor status is given to high-performing distributors with the greatest potential for growth and effective market-reach. 

“We want to see significant improvements in sales and services from our Preferred Authorized Distributors,” says Ian Dent, general manager–distribution– Europe, Turkey and Middle East. “And in return, these distributors will see stronger incentives for choosing Timken and an increased sales and marketing presence.”

The meeting’s theme was “Less Friction. More Solutions.” Topics included overviews of The Timken Company, our global distribution strategy, integration progress, future growth objectives and business opportunities.

“The meeting provided an excellent launching pad for the rollout of our new integrated channel structure,” says Dent. “We wanted this important group of partners to know that Timken is clear in its aspirations for the future, that their involvement will be key to our success and that we will be strongly improving our value proposition to them in return for their commitment and support toward achieving our goals.”

Overall, feedback has been very positive, Ian adds. Timken plans to continue hosting Distributor Council Meetings every two years.
