Sandy 
Quality Principal–Metallurgy-Automotive 

Sandy’s background says quite a bit about him. He has bachelors' degrees in economics, metallurgical engineering and materials science from Carnegie Mellon University. He’s working on a master’s in marketing and finance from Cleveland State. He’s been a director at special alloy casting company, and president of an Engineering Consulting firm and an Advanced Materials Marketing company. He’s what some would call an overachiever, and that helps him fit in just fine as a metallurgy expert at Timken. 

“My job is never boring or routine. This position taxes my abilities and expands my life experience. I have contact with senior corporate and plant management, as well as regular interaction with associates in our plants in North and South America, and China.”

He tells other associates to be ready to seek new opportunities and further educate themselves at Timken. And because of the international scope of many jobs, he has one more piece of advice: “Learn a second language.”
