Heather has been with The Timken Company only for a few years, but she’s already had four jobs, and knows that the next change is just around the corner. 

She’s part of the Steel Business Associate program, designed to quickly expose new hires to many parts of the company. From the company’s point of view, it’s a great way to identify the associate’s areas of special interest or knowledge, while at the same time taking advantage of their fresh insights on company processes and procedures. 

"As a new hire, I have worked on metallurgical and quality assurance issues. I have also had other technical assignments such as investigating process improvement opportunities for our steelmaking areas and rolling mills. My assignments have allowed me to work with people in both South America and the U.K. The SBA program is giving me so much good experience, and I get to meet and work with people throughout the company."
