Erika
Steel Business Associate
In every community where it has a manufacturing facility, it’s easy to find examples of how The Timken Company is an active civic booster. You’ll find Timken as a regular sponsor of many community activities. Associates are encouraged to volunteer and take on leadership roles in organizations like United Way, Junior Achievement, the Boy Scouts and dozens of others.
As a Steel Business Associate, Erika works as a product flow scheduler. She has been active in company and community sponsored-events since she was a summer intern and she works to enlist other associates in various service activities. "The company really supports associates who want to become active in the community, and as a newcomer to the Canton area, it was a good way for me to network and meet community leaders."
She works at the company’s headquarters in Canton, Ohio, home to the Professional Football Hall of Fame. Each year, there is a week-long festival that includes a nationally televised parade. "I’ve volunteered for many Hall of Fame activities, including the parade and the ribs burnoff. It was there that I met and became friends with many other associates." Along with that, she is active as a Board Member with the Canton Jaycees, United Way, and Canton City Youth Development. | |
