Does Timken provide training and development opportunities?
Yes. Two main components of our Talent Management Process are the FOCUS Plan and the Development Plan. The FOCUS Plan enables salaried associates to work with their immediate supervisor every year to define expected results. The Development Plan defines tactics to help associates
develop the necessary competencies or skills for the workplace. These tactics can include on-the-job training/coaching, on-site or off-site workshops/seminars, more challenging/varied projects, or participating in a mentoring program. Each business has HR representatives who assist managers and associates in identifying these development opportunities.
