Initial Selected Assignments
On the job training through project assignment in one of four sections of Process Development Bearings Department of The Timken Technology Center. Assignments deal with the application of control and computer technology to the processes used in the manufacture of tapered roller bearings. The scope of the work includes the application of technologies such as robotics, vision systems, gauging systems, micro-computers, programmable controllers and the development of computer integrated manufacturing systems. The position leads to total project and/or program leadership responsibility. Development Engineers through this responsibility are given frequent exposure to executive management and are being developed for career paths that can be either technical or managerial within the Engineering or Manufacturing Divisions.
