Quality in
Workforce
Timken associates undergo intensive training in many areas, including quality. Every new operations associate undergoes quality training. New sales associates are also trained to fully understand the process that ensures they have a quality product to bring to their customers.
Quality training is a continuous
process. Associates are given updates on
quality standards revisions and changes
in procedure as necessary. In addition,
associates undergo a “gap analysis.”
This rates an associate’s knowledge
versus his/her job responsibilities. If
there is a “gap” between the two,
the associate receives additional
training in that area. Understanding quality standards
in one of the components of the gap analysis.
