Friction Management Services, LLC is a joint venture of The Timken Company and Tranergy Corporation. Tranergy is a pioneer in innovative rail technology. Timken has nearly 80 years of experience in reducing friction for rail. Their new venture, Friction Management Services L.L.C., provides TracGlide system users with the best in industry-leading technology combined with a well-established support network of rail experts. Tranergy was founded in 1986 by Sudhir Kumar, Ph.D., to design, develop and produce advanced transportation and energy systems. Tranergy conducts rail research and development and also provides consulting services primarily in the area of friction management. The TracGlide system, originally trademarked as Sentraen 2000™, was patented in 1990. |
